I really enjoyed watching this video, it helped me to better understand how and why it so important to be able to form a tribe or group of people who have the same interests and goals as you do. I never really realized just how much of an impact that a group of people has not only on other people but on advertising, selling, marketing etc.  What really suprised me though was how many different types of groups are considered to be tribes. I never really thought of sports fans as being a group trying to achieve a goal. But after Seth Godin explained that sports fans are a group of people that are all trying to obtain the same thing, wanting their team to win, it really made sense to me that tribes are everywhere. They’re in the workplace, schoolplace and even in our social networks eg. clubs, charities. -In the past the key way to get the word out was through ads, whether it be billboards, magazines or the most popular TV. Now the biggest chunk of advertising is done through the internet.
