Hey guys! I am back again on this blog after a long enjoyable summer. My first post is going to be about a presentation we went over in my PR Publications class. This presentation was about CRAP yes I said it, CRAP.

CRAP stands for:

Contrast– helps things to stand out. Creates dynamics on a page.

Repetition– helps to create consistency and unity.

Alignment– creates a “flow” and makes things easy to read.

Proximity-groups related segments all into one and puts unrelated things together.

You can use these elements separately but by using all of the elements of the C.R.A.P. acronym together, you will allow yourself to make sure that your publication is easy to read and understandable for your target audience.

*CRAP helps us to design better publications by telling us about the 4 major things to look for when designing a brochure, handout, etc.
